A win or draw would have felt better-Kudus speaks on goal against Liverpool

Kudus was named Man of the Match against Rangers in this season's UEFA Champions League Group stage.

Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, wishes his screamer against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, ended in a win or at least a draw for his side, Ajax at Anfield.

Kudus’ stunning strike got Ajax level in the first half, after Liverpool took the lead through Mohammed Salah in the Game 2 UEFA Champions League group stage game.

However, a late Joel Matip header gave Liverpool a 2-1 win and three points to move to the summit of Group A standings.

Kudus’ goal was voted as the Goal of the Month in September for Ajax Club and the 22 year old expressed his mixed feelings after receiving the Award.

“It was a collective goal we played like 26 passes or 25 passes and everyone touched the ball before the goal so it was a really nice team goal…I think it was even more special to get the team back in the game. It would have been even a better if we got maybe a draw or win but we lost the game unfortunately” he said to Ajax’s YouTube channel.

Since bagging the splendid strike at Anfield, Ajax Amsterdam has lost back to back games to Italian side Napoli including a 1-6 loss in Italy with Kudus scoring the consolation goal.

Kudus has been in great scoring form this season scoring four times in nine Eredivisie games while adding three goals in the UEFA Champions League.
