Daniel Kyereh misses Freiburg mauling at Bayern to muscular problems

Ghanaian forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh missed SC Freiburg’s 10th game of the 2022-2023 Bundesliga season to muscular problems.

Freiburg suffered a 0-5 mauling at the hands of German League leaders and defending champions, Bayern Munich, at the Allianz Arena.

The 26 year old picked up the injury in the lead up to Freiburg’s Europa League game against French side FC Nantes.

Since moving from Bundesliga 2 side St. Pauli to Freiburg this offseason, Kyereh has impressed in recent months, after enduring a tough start to the season where he played 28 minutes across four league games.

Kyereh has scored three goals and registered an assist since September 15 for Freiburg in all competitions.

He is in contention for a place in Ghana’s Black Stars squad that will compete at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Kyereh helped Ghana qualify to the World Cup for the fourth time after making his debut in the AFCON earlier this year.
