Bernard Tekpetey bags brace and assist in Ludogrets league win

Little over a week after registering his first assist of the 2022-2023 season in the Europa League, Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has topped his performance.

Tekpetey scored two goals and assisted striker Thiago Rodrigues in Ludogrets Razgrad’s 4-0 win over Beroetriker  in an away fixture in the Bulgarian top flight.

The 25 year old scored the game’s opening goal in the 51st minute and added a second in the 78th minute after assisting Rodrigues’ goal in the 74th minute.

Tekpetey was played in on goal by Cauly Souza and proceeded to round the goalkeeper by slotting the ball into the net for his second goal.

For his first, the former Fortuna Dusseldorf player was assisted by Ludogrets Goalkeeper Sergio Padt; the win takes Ludogrets to second place in the 16 team league standings with two games in hand.

For the season, Tekpetey has seven goals and two assists in 11 games in the Bulgarian league and is in the hunt for a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
