Ashgold vs GFA: Contempt case moved to November 17

A High Court in Accra has for the fourth time adjourned the contempt case filed against the Executive Council Members of the GFA by Ashantigold FC to Thursday, November 17, 2022.

The Miners are seeking for the Executive Council Members to be imprisoned for what they describe as disregard for the dignity, respect, and authority of the court.

On November 17, 2022, the Judge, Nicholas Agbodakpi is expected to give a ruling on a mini trial conducted to determine whether the GFA through its Executive Council Member, Dr. Randy Abbey was properly served with the interlocutory injunction by Bailiff, Ellis Armah.

After the ruling, the Executive Council Members will open their defense.
