Confirmed: Amida Brimah joins French basketball side JL Bourg

Ghanaian Center, Amida Brimah has joined French Pro A Basketball League side, JL Bourg-en-Bresse.

The 28-year-old Center signed to play out the 2022-2023 season with Japanese side Akitta Happinets but never suited up for the team.

His deal with Bourg runs through the present campaign, where the 6 foot 10-inch defender is expected to compete in the French league and the EuroCup.

Bourg adds to the extensive list of teams Brimah has played for since turning pro after graduating from the University of Connecticut.

He won the Belgian League title with Oostende and has played for Guaynabo de Mets in Puerto Rico and Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Gatorade League (G-League).

He became the second Ghana-born player, after Ben Bentil, to play in the NBA in 2020 following his brief run with the Indiana Pacers.

Bourg recently signed former Miami Heat Point Guard, Norris Cole to its roster earlier this season; Cole won two NBA titles as a member of the Miami team led by LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.
