Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, Kudus in Ghana’s starting 11 to face Portugal

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has named captain, Andre Ayew in the starting eleven to take on Portugal in their first game of the 2022 World Cup.

Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus and Salis Samed make up the midfield, while Alidu Seidu, Alexander Djiku, Daniel Amartey, Mohammed Salisu and Baba Rahman complete the defence.

The notable absentee from the list is Crystal Palace’s Jordan Ayew, who has been dropped to the bench for the game.

Also absent from the starting eleven is Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey.
