Razak Abalora trains with Kotoko ahead of return to Moldovan club Tiraspol

Black Stars goalkeeper, Razak Abalora has been seen training with betPawa Ghana Premier League side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.

The 26-year-old is in Ghana with the Moldovan League on break due to the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Abalora plays in the league for Sheriff Tiraspol.

The shot-stopper trained with Kotoko at the Porcupine Warriors Adako Jachie training complex to stay active ahead of the resumption of the league.

Abalora played an instrumental role in Kotoko clinching the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League title before securing a move to the Moldovan outfit in January this year.

On his return to Moldova, the four-time capped keeper with the Black Stars, will be aiming to recapture his spot in the squad after not being included in the playing unit in 13 games across all competitions.

Abalora was an unused substitute in 10 other games in all competitions, marking a strange turn of events after the former Azam FC player started his stint with Sheriff on an excellent note.

The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) player played out the entire duration of six straight games in Tiraspol’s UEFA Champions League qualifying games, according to German-based football data outfit Transfermarkt.

Kotoko is scheduled to play Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday, December 21 when the betPawa Ghana Premier League returns from the 2022 FIFA World Cup-enforced break.
