Akim Oda Stadium 60% done, will be ready to welcome team in January – Kotoku Royals PRO

Kotoku Royals Rush Football Club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Okatakyie Afrifa has stated the Akim Oda Stadium is “about 60%” done.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports as the team prepares to play Legon Cities on Wednesday, December 21 when the betPawa Ghana Premier League resumes from a break.

Kotoku Royals is gunning to play its home games at the Akim Oda Stadium in its debut campaign after playing eight games thus far at the Cape Coast Stadium.

According to the mouthpiece of the club, the Akim Oda stadium should be ready to host league games come next year due to the advanced level of refurbishment the venue has undergone.

“We are about 60% done with the stadium and, with just a little push, we will be able to come back to the Oda Sports Stadium. We have given a target to ourselves…so hopefully by the first week of January, Kotoku Royals will definitely return back to the Oda Sports Stadium,” he stated.

League debutant, Kotoku Royals recently parted ways with head coach, Seth Ablade after winning a game, drawing another game and losing six in eight league outings.
