Black Stars defender, Tariq Lamptey is back in training for Brighton and Hove Albion as the team prepares for the continuation of the English Premier League season.

Lamptey played two games for Ghana in his World Cup debut campaign after committing to play international football for the Black Stars a few months before the start of the tournament.

Former Chelsea player, Lamptey played 25 minutes in Ghana’s 2-3 loss to Portugal and played 77 minutes in a 3-2 win over South Korea but didn’t feature in Ghana’s 0-2 loss to Uruguay.

The 22-year-old full-back, who was praised by recently departed Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo for his exploits, has been joined in training by fellow World Cup competitors Moises Caicedo and Pervis Estupinian.

Estupinian and Caicedo starred for Ecuador in this year’s World Cup. Ecuador lost 1-2 to Senegal in the final round of group games to miss out on a place in the Round of 16 in Qatar.

The Premier League went on a break due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and is set to return on December 26.
