Feels good to get first goal of the new year- Antoine Semenyo

After getting his debut goal in the 2023 calendar year, Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has stated he feels good about finding the back of the net.

He said this in an interview after scoring in Bristol City’s 1-1 result against Coventry City in the English Championship’s last round of games.

“It definitely feels good obviously I haven’t been in the team for the last few games came in the last two…and am happy to contribute” he said in a chat with Bristol City media.

Semenyo scored in the 28th minute to get Bristol level after conceding a Jake Bidwell goal in the 12th minute; Semenyo played out the entire duration of the contest.

The equalizer against Coventry is Semenyo’s fourth goal in the Championship this season and the 22 year old has an assist to his name.

Semenyo was included in Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad in a campaign that had the Black Stars compete in Group H.

He is the subject of major interest from English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth according to British portal TeamTalk.
