Bournemouth had two transfer bids for Semenyo rejected but a third bid valued at 10 million Pounds with more add-ons has been agreed on between the clubs reportedly.

Speaking in an interview, Pearson pointed to Bristol’s need to build a financially sustainable club and money from Semenyo’s sale will aid in this respect.

Semenyo has scored four goals in five games after returning from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with Ghana. He featured in Ghana’s 2-3 loss to Portugal.

“To potentially lose one of your better players even though we will get the valuation which we think is fair doesn’t mean all that money will go into buying more players…we will invest in the academy. We want to get the investment right and hopefully we can get somebody in this window, maybe two but who knows, but we won’t bring players in for the sake of it” Pearson said according to BristolWorld.
