Kamaldeen Sulemana adds potency to the side-Southampton Head Coach

Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has officially joined English Premier League side Southampton and The Saints head coach Nathan Jones has talked up what Sulemana brings to his team.

Kamaldeen moved from French Ligue 1 side Rennes to Southampton for a reported four and a year deal worth 25 million Euros in what is a record transfer fee from the English south coast club.

Speaking after the deal was closed out in the final minutes of the January transfer window deadline, Jones spoke about Southampton’s keenness to add more potency and his belief in Sulemana bringing that potency to his side.

“This is another really positive addition for us this month. We’ve obviously been keen to add a little more potency to the side, and Kamaldeen is someone who does that for us. He’s at a stage in his career where we feel he can help us in the immediate term, but also continue to grow and develop further into the future” Jones said.

The 20 year old Sulemana played for Danish side Nordsjaelland before moving to France and competed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Ghana’s Black Stars.

He was clocked as the fastest player at the World Cup.
