Until we get clarification on their work permits, neither will be involved’- Southampton Coach on Kamaldeen Sulemana and Onuachu

Southampton Football Club head coach Nathan Jones is very doubtful 2022 January Deadline Day transfer signings Kamaldeen Sulemana and Paul Onuachu will be involved in Southampton’s game against Brentford later today in the English Premier League.

The Saints are scheduled to take on Brentford in Week 22 of the EPL at 15:00 GMT but the high profile signings are likely not to be involved in the contest due to issues connected to securing the duos work permit.

Speaking at the pre game press conference, Jones also revealed Sulemana and Onuachu are limited even in training due to the permit issue.

“We aren’t sure yet as it’s all about work permits and stuff like that, so I can’t say too much just yet. Hopefully in the not too distant future we’ll see them. They’re in the building but we’re limited with what we can do with them because of the work permit situation… until we get clarification on their work permits, neither will be involved” he said.

Ghanaian winger Sulemana moved from French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes to Southampton for a record 25 million Euros fee.
