Kotoko facing goal scoring deficiency – Seydou Zerbo

Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo has admitted his team is deficient in the goal scoring department in the wake of a poor run of results.

Zerbo highlighted this issue after Kotoko lost 0 -1 to Aduana Stars in the MTN FA Cup Round of 16 stage this past weekend at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa.

Speaking through his interpreter, Burkinabe coach, Zerbo, blasted referee Amadu Ibrahim for what he believed was a poor performance.

However, his team’s inability to score proved worrying for the trainer.

“We are talking about goal scoring, yes, we couldn’t score a goal. This is a deficiency we are facing in the team now so we are going to rectify it” he said.

Sam Adams’ converted penalty kick in the 57th minute put Aduana up and the Dormaa lads held on to seal the win and progression to the quarterfinals.

Aduana is on course to win the double with the Paa Kwesi Fabin led side sitting on top of the betPawa Ghana Premier League standings.

The team has 35 points and holds a five point lead over second placed Bechem United.
