Euro Basketball: Red Star Coach speaks positively on Ben Bentil ahead of Belgrade derby

Crvena Zvezda MTS (Red Star Belgrade) head coach Dusko Ivanovic has spoken positively about Ghana small forward Ben Bentil in the lead up to the Belgrade derby tonight.

Red Star takes on arch rival Partizan Belgrade in the Adriatic Basketball League (ABA) at 19:30 GMT after experiencing an up and down run in the Euroleague.

Bentil played 27:12 minutes and registered 10 points, two rebounds and three assists in Red Star’s 94-75 win over defending Euroleague champions Anadolou Efes.

Speaking at the post game conference, Ivanovic commended Bentil who delivered an efficient performance by scoring four of six field goal attempts and scoring a pair of free throw shot attempts.

“Ben has been training exceptionally well lately. All the work he’s doing in training tonight also showed in the game.”

Partizan leads the ABA with 18 wins and two losses with Red Star in second place with 17 wins and two losses.

Bentil is averaging 9.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.9 minutes across 18 games in the ABA.
