Ghanaian winger, Augustine Okrah, is in the running to compete in the quarter finals of the 2022-2023 CAF Champions League season after returning from an injury that kept him out of action for a while.
Okrah’s Simba Sporting Club has been drawn to play Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca in this year’s quarter finals that is set to be played out between April 21 and April 22.
The former Bechem United winger’s return comes at a crucial part of the season as the Tanzanian club readies itself to play the Moroccan side and arch rival Young Africans later this month.
Simba plays Young Africans on Sunday, April 16 at 14:00 GMT with the latter occupying the top spot in the league standings with 65 points ahead of second placed Simba with 57 points.
The standout match up from the draw is between defending champions Raja Casablanca and record CAF Champions League winners Al-Ahly of Egypt.
Algerian side CR Belouizdad takes on South African side Mamelodi Sundowns and fellow Algerian side JS Kabylie has been drawn against Tunisia’s Esperance de Tunis.
