Ghana’s Kasim Adams was the hero of the night as his extra time goal secured qualification to the semi finals stage of the Europa Conference League against OGC Nice.
After 2-2 draw in the first leg, FC Basel went to France to knockout Ligue 1 outfit thanks to goals Jean Augustin and Kasim Adams to book a place in the last four of this season’s Conference League.
Gaetan Laborde gave Nice an early lead after capitalizing on an Aaron Ramsey pass.
With the tie threatening to pull away from the Swiss giants, Jean Augustin drew the tie level with an 86th-minute goal to send the game to extra time.
Basel came into the first half of the extra time with a lot of fire power and were rewarded according as Kasim Adams headed home from a distance.

Minutes later, Heiko Vogel introduced U-20 AFCON winner, Emmanuel Essiam in the midfield to seal protection for the backline.
The Swiss giants then held on to victory to eliminate Nice 3-4 on aggregate.
