Kotoku Royals won’t engage in fixed matches despite getting relegated- PRO

Akyem Kotoku Royals Football Club Public Relations Officer, Okatakyie Afrifa, has dismissed all thoughts of playing fixed games to close out this season after getting relegated from the betPawa Ghana Premier League.

League debutant Kotoku lost 0-2 to Accra Great Olympics in the last round of league games to confirm its quick return to Division One football.

However, the Oda based team has four games left on its 2022-2023 schedule to clear with two of such games involving relegation threatened Tamale City and Karela United.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Afrifa dismissed the notion Kotoku Royals will go easy on its upcoming opponents.

“Against league leaders Aduana Stars, we played our hearts out…and everybody saw how Kotoku Royals played and being a professional club like Kotoku Royals, we don’t tolerate any fixed matches. We are going all out, play our hearts out as far as the rest of the matches are concerned.”
