Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison registered an assist in Young Africans (Yanga) Sporting Club’s 4-2 win over Dodoma Jiji.

The win ensured Yanga clinched the 2022-2023 season title (29th league title overall) to conclude a productive week for Morrison who scored a late goal in Yanga’s 2-0 win over Marumo Gallants in the CAF Confederation Cup prior.

Yanga leads the league with 74 points and seven points ahead of second ranked Simba SC with two league games remaining on the schedule. Yanga has 24 wins, two draws and two losses this season.

29 year old Morrison assisted Kennedy Musonda’s goal in the 38th minute to tie the game after Dodoma took an early lead through Ghanaian forward Collins Opare in the 15th minute.

The title is Morrison and Yanga’s second of the season after winning the Tanazanian Community Shield at the expense of bitter rival Simba SC in 2022.
