Former World Boxing Organization (WBO) Junior Featherweight Champion, Isaac Dogboe has been speaking about his next move following defeat to Robeisy Ramirez of Cuba.

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), on behalf of Team Dogboe, organized a press conference on Wednesday 17th May, 2023 at the Africa Regent Hotel in Accra.

Speaking to Citi Sports in an exlcusive interview at the event, Dogboe believes the fight against Ramirez has taught him some lessons.

“Speaking on the fight, it’s unfortunate but in every situation we have to see the good that can come out of it. I believe that it is also a wake-up call to plan effectively and to go back to fight”

“In terms of emotions and everything else we’ve surpassed it already” he said

Dogbe was quick to talk about how focused he was on moving up the rankings and getting back into contention for world titles

“It is a matter of now thinking about the future of what we have to do or what needs to be done in order to move up the rankings again and get back into world title contention”

Isaac Dogboe became the WBO super bantamweight champion on April 28, 2018 when he defeated then world champion Jesse Magdaleno.

He lost the WBO super bantamweight title to Emanuel Navarrete at the Hulu Theater in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on 8 December 2018.
