Anim Cudjoe makes substitute appearance in Dundee United relegation loss

Ghanaian youngsters, Felix Afena-Gyan and Kamaldeen Sulemana, have suffered relegation with Cremonese and Southampton respectively and the list has grown following the relegation of Dundee United from the Scottish Premier League.

Ghana’s Mathew Anim Cudjoe played in Dundee United’s 2-3 loss to fellow league strugglers Motherwell in a relegation playoff and the loss has confirmed Dundee’s demotion from the division.

Cudjoe came off the bench in the 65th minute in place for Glenn Middleton at a time Motherwell trailed 1-2.

The 19-year-old winger completed six of nine pass attempts in the fifth loss in a row for Dundee United in his season in top flight European football.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player made 16 appearances in all competitions but failed to get a goal or an assist.

Anim Cudjoe has made four appearances for Ghana’s Under 20 team and is in line to be named in the Black Meteors squad for next month’s Under 23 AFCON.
