Dreams FC set to represent Ghana in CAF Confed Cup next season

Dreams FC clinched their first major title after defeating Kumasi-based King Faisal by two goals to zero at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese to lift the 2022/2023 edition of the MTN FA Cup.

The #Still Believers who saw off a resilient Skyy FC in the semi-finals kept their composure and calmly handled the Insha Allah boys in the final lap.

Aziz Issah shot Dreams FC ahead in the 20th minute with a beautiful solo, before a second-half strike from Sadiq Alhassan sealed the victory for Karim Zito’s side after an intense half of football.

King Faisal fought back to grab a consolation goal but all efforts went wayward as Dreams FC emerged Champions of the 2023 MTN FA Cup for the first time in the Club’s history

This victory which is the first of its kind for the Dawu-based club will see them represent Ghana at next season’s CAF Confederations Cup[2023/24].

Dreams FC’s quest will be to qualify for the group stages of the CAF Confed Cup for the first time when the preliminary stages commence next season.

Accra Hearts of Oak failed to do so after losing to Malian side AS Bamako last season on a 3-1 aggregate in both legs.
