Ghana Boxing Authority is building foundations to develop more world champs- GBA President

GBA President Abraham Neequaye

Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) President Abraham Neequaye Kotei says he is building strong foundations to develop more world champions.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on the sidelines of the King of the Ring 3 event held recently at the Trust Sports Emporium.

President Kotei referenced the work of former GBA boss Neequaye Mensah in producing world boxing champions in past years and added he is hell bent on replicating the feat.

“I am building the foundation. The world champions that we saw the last time it was Neequaye Mensah who built the foundations for the other Presidents to enjoy.

Super lightweight contender Faisal Abubakar scored a third round TKO win over Enoch Lamptey at the King of the Ring 3.

I have come to pick up what Neequaye Mensah did so that we can still enjoy our world champions and I know in two, three years, we are going to have the world champions again.”
