FIBA is beginning to show interest in Ghana- Basketball Regional Chairman states

Greater Accra Regional Basketball Association Chairman Ayitey Bulley says basketball world governing body, FIBA, is beginning to show interest in Ghana.

He said this in the aftermath of the 2023 FIBA Africa Under 16 Zone 3 qualifiers that was held at the Eden Heights Sports Complex in Accra that had Ghana miss out on qualifying to the African Championship in Tunisia in the Boy’s and Girl’s Divisions respectively.

Speaking in the presence of Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President Ato Van-Ess, who stated the Association’s executives aren’t sleeping but working hard to push basketball in Ghana, Bulley announced the encouraging development. (Click highlighted text to read full report)

“We are developing basketball in the country and we can see a lot of interest in it and as you can see FIBA is beginning to show interest in Ghana so we are encouraging corporate Ghana to come on board with us to make this thing a success.”
