Black Queens: Nora Hauptle confident of qualifying Ghana to Olympic Games

Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle says the demands on the team are what will propel them to secure qualification to the 2024 Olympic Games.

Ghana will take on Guinea in the first round of qualifiers, with the first game scheduled for Friday and the return leg a few days later.

The winner of the encounter will play either Guinea-Bissau or Benin in the second round of the qualifying series for the Olympic Games.

Should Ghana scale the second hurdle too, they may have to compete against Zambia in the third round of the qualifiers.

The Black Queens of Ghana will be hoping for a stroke of better luck than the Black Meteors side who crashed out of the U-23 AFCON at the group stages.

“No, for me pressure is a privilege because we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to deliver. We want to go and qualify for the Olympics. Of course, we recognize that our U-23 men could not qualify, and I feel sorry for them,” Nora said at the press conference.

“We will take this challenge and face it,” she concluded.
