It wasn’t easy serving on Kumasi Asante Kotoko Board- Nsiah Asare

Football administrator Evelyn Nsiah Asare says it was tough playing her role as a board member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.

She said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports in the wake of the dissolution of the club’s board ahead of the start of the 2023-2024 BetPawa Ghana Premier League season.

An interim management committee has since been appointed with Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi named as Administrative Manager and former Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah named as the club’s Technical Director.

“It was an experience. It was good, it was not easy because…23 years experience in the women’s game, three years in the men’s game, there was a bit [of] difference but I think it was good.

I have served, I am done and I thank Manhyia so much. I thank Opemsuor (Otumfuo Osei Tutu II) for giving me this opportunity. It was an honour done me and I believe I did it to the perfection of what they wanted from me and I wish them well.”

Kotoko takes on newly promoted side Kpando Hearts of Lions in the opening game of the new league season in September.
