Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has praised Crystal Palace head coach Roy Hodgson for putting him in positions that are comfortable for him to express himself.

He said this to Crystal Palace’s official media outlet after winning Palace’s Player of the Month Award in August.

Jordan Ayew was on hand to receive the trophy after bagging three assists in five games in all competitions this season.

Speaking in the interview, Ayew praised Crystal Palace technical staff and singled out veteran head coach Hodgson for his role in the marked improvement in production for the front man.

“It’s been a while, a very long time that I have brought in a trophy. Since Roy has come in, he’s been really good to me and obviously putting me into positions where I can express myself and where I feel more comfortable. It gives me the freedom to express myself. That’s what you ask for as a player.”
