Former Black Stars midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has called out his teammates at the 2014 FIFA World Cup for not supporting him when he got kicked off the team with Sulley Muntari.

He made this admission in an interview on Rio Ferdinand’s Vibe With Five Podcast where he talked about getting kicked off the team for criticizing members of the Ghana Football Association for not treating players right. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Elaborating on the sticky issue, the former AC Milan and FC Barcelona player said he didn’t  get support from his teammates though he was fighting for them.

“No one. I was even fighting for the team you know not for myself. I saw them going out with my luggage bro worst moment you are just going out…with (Sulley) Muntari in the back. The real thing would be saying we all not playing.

They are staying even if you don’t play us (me and Muntari) keep us on the bench don’t make a big fuss around it. They kicked us out we left and went to our families.”

The Black Stars went on to lose 1-2 to Portugal in the final group stage match and exit the tournament.
