We are going to work together to bring the progress of SWAG- Evelyn Nsiah Asare

Newly elected Vice President of Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Evelyn Nsiah Asare, says work can be done with all stakeholders to lift the body.

She said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after winning enough votes to secure the Vice Presidential seat beating veteran Sports Journalist and incumbent Vice President Maurice Quansah in the process.

Nsiah Asare, who doubles as CEO of Hasaacas Ladies, welcomed criticisms against SWAG but believes working together is the way to go.

Her call comes at a time when the body’s relevance outside organizing the prestigious SWAG Awards has been questioned.

“People see things differently, I don’t want to fight them or begrudge them but we can still work to lift SWAG some people want it to be. I don’t want to fight those who have a different perspective but with me coming on board, I think I can also bring something small.”

“I am not the leader, we are going to work together as an organization as an industry so…it’s something that we have to come together think or discuss things that will bring the progress of SWAG.”

Kwabena Yeboah and Charles Osei Assibey retained their seats as President and General Secretary respectively after going unopposed.
