MEDEAMA V CR BELOUIZDAD: We have to beat the Algerians at all cost – Joseph Tetteh Zutah

Administrative Manager for Medeama SC, Joseph Tetteh Zutah says the team have picked up vital lessons from the 3-0 defeat to defending Champions Al-Ahly in Egypt.

Competing in the competition for the first time, Medeama played well in the first half but failed to build on that in the second half eventually conceding three goals.

The Mauve & Yellow will now face Algerian Champions CR Belouizdad at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on December 1.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Joseph Tetteh Zutah says the club aims to redeem itself in the next game on Friday, December 1.

JOSEPH TETTEH ZUTAH – ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER, MEDEAMA SC

All in all, i can say the players have gotten the first experience from the game against Al-Ahly, so going into the next game against CR Belouizdad, i am of the view that, now there are certain mistakes they committed that won’t be repeated.

If we really want to qualify out of the group then we have to beat CR Belouizdad at all cost and the players are aware of that.

The focus is to try as much as possible to qualify out of the group, we know it will not be easy task, but we hope to do that.

Unfortunately for us we are playing two games at home against Belouizdad and Yanga SC here and if we able to win all two games, we have 6points and then we will see how we can pick results from other centers.

The Algerian Champions, CR Belouizdad also beat Tanzanian side Young Africans by three goals in the other game.

The Algerians are set to arrive in Ghana on Tuesday night to begin the final preparations against Medeama SC on Friday.
