CAF CL: We’ve worked to avoid conceding goals- Medeama Coach

Medeama Head Coach Evans Adotey

Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Augustine Evans Adotey, sounds upbeat about his team’s chances of keeping a clean sheet in its game against Young Africans Sporting Club.

The Tarkwa side takes on the Tanzanian side on Friday, December 8 at 16:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Match Day 3 at the group stage in this season’s CAF Champions League.

Medeama is aiming for a second win after picking up a 2-1 win over Algeria’s CR Belouizdad and losing 0-3 to Egypt’s Al-Ahly in previous games.

Speaking in a pre game presser ahead of tomorrow’s game, coach Adotey identified the avoidance of conceding goals as a key point in Medeama’s game plan to win.

“We’ve been conceding off late. So far we’ve worked on creating depth in defence and making sure we don’t concede. We still have to think forward; we want to win the game” Adotey said.

Medeama is tied on three points with Belouizdad in Group D but ranks third due to having an inferior goal difference.
