Head coach of Namibia’s National Men’s Football Team, Collin Benjamin, says he is proud of his team’s efforts in securing a goalless draw against Ghana in an international friendly game.

He said this in a post game presser after the impressive draw by the Southern African nation at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Both countries are preparing to compete at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire that runs from January 13 to February 11.

Ghana is in Group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique while Namibia is in Group E with Mali, Tunisia and South Africa.

“My team did a very good game. They did it as a collective, a lot of energy, a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of conviction and am just proud of the team. The first half I think we created really good chances that we could even go 2-0 in front.”

“I think second half also the tempo Ghana took it even further but I think that we contained them and the two, three chances that we also had that makes me just proud to be the coach of this team.”
