GFA Executive Council to Meet The Press on February 7

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council will meet the press at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi with the event set to commence at 9AM on Wednesday, February 7.

Members of the powerful body due to be present for the presser include GFA President Kurt Okraku and GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo.

This comes in the wake of Ghana’s poor run at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire where the Black Stars failed to win a game in three outings.

Ghana lost 1-2 to Cape Verde and blew leads to draw 2-2 with Mozambique and Egypt respectively to crash out of the group stage for the second AFCON edition in a row.

The presser is expected to have GFA Executive members address matters related to the search for a new Black Stars head coach, Ghana’s preparations for the 2023 African Games and the start of the Ghana Premier League 2023-2024 season second round.
