Colts Football is being played in every region in Ghana- GFA Boss slams naysayers

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has taken a big swipe at naysayers over the state of colts football in the country.

He said this in his address at a media briefing in Kumasi while touching on matters connected to the state of football in Ghana.

After indicating the “reflective state of the GFA” after the Black Stars latest failure at a major competition, GFA President Kurt Okraku said colts football is alive and well. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“Overtime, we have brought back colts football to lovers of colts in this country. Currently, colts football is being played in all our 10 [football] regions. In every region of this country, colts football is being played. In the Ashanti Region, we have 194 active colts clubs. In the Brong Ahafo Region, we have 178 colts clubs, in the Central Region, 120, Eastern, 165, the Greater Accra Region, 327.”

“The FA will continue to support colts football in the regions with the provision of trophies and medals for all our leagues in the country.”

The GFA President added that the Association has secured footballs for distribution to colts clubs at a cost of $100,000
