Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has described his goal against Sheffield Wednesday as a difficult one despite the strike looking easy at first glance.

He said this after scoring in Leicester’s 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth minute in the SkyBet English Championship matchup. Jamie Vardy scored Leicester’s second goal.

The goal is the third of the season for the Sporting Lisbon loanee who also has nine assists to give the 19 year old 12 goal contributions in the 2023-2024 season.

Speaking on the goal, Issahaku said, “If you see it from outside, you might think it’s easy, but it’s so difficult. I just needed to be calm to put it in. That’s what I did. The way the coach gives us the room, it makes it easier for us.”

Issahaku missed two games earlier this season after picking up a red card against Coventry City.

Leicester lead the Championship standings with 78 points (12 points ahead of second placed Southampton) ahead of Saturday, February 17’s matchup against Middlesbrough.
