Football legend Asamoah Gyan has been named on the New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer for the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s, Manifesto Committee.

The former Black Stars player has been confirmed as the lead constituent of Dr. Bawumia’s Committee for “Youth and Sports.”

Gyan earlier today hinted of this appointment by calling on fellow legends in football and other sports disciplines to improve making the discipline attractive and fun to the youth. He made the statement via his X (formerly Twitter) page. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The committee has been tasked with “undertaking a holistic review of the party’s 2016 and 2020 manifestos and engaging all relevant stakeholders to come up with a pragmatic 2024 manifesto.”
