Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil made his awaited debut for Los Angeles Galaxy after moving from Belgian side KRC Genk earlier this month.

The 26 year old played 86 minutes in his first official game for the Galaxy as the Los Angeles side drew 1-1 with Inter Miami to open the Major League Soccer (MLS) season.

Dejan Joveljic scored for Galaxy in the 75th minute before Argentine superstar Lionel Messi scored the equalizer in the 92nd minute. Galaxy’s Marco Delgado got sent off in the 88th minute.

In 86 minutes, Paintsil completed 19 of 21 passes including two key passes and created a big chance in the contest.
