Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku believes his side, Leicester City, was bound to win its fifth round FA Cup tie against AFC Bournemouth.

He said this in his post game reaction after helping Leicester clinch a 1-0 win over The Cherries to book a spot in the quarterfinals.

Issahaku scored his first goal in the competition in his first outing courtesy a beautifully curled strike into the right side of the post.

Despite heading into the contest on the back of two straight losses in the Sky Bet English Championship, Issahaku says he believed Leicester was going to win.

“I believe in the players we have and what the coach is telling us to do. I had a feeling that we were going to win. It was a good test. We are top of the league and we have more confidence to play. It was a great game.”
