Zambia National Women’s National Team forward Kabange Mupopo says it’s a good feeling to see her side progress to the next stage of qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

She said this in a post game interview after Zambia drew 3-3 with Ghana in Ndola to seal a 4-3 win over the Black Queens despite losing to star striker Rachael Kundananji to a knee injury. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Zambia will play Morocco in April to book one of two spots in this year’s Olympic Games; Morocco beat Tunisia 6-2 on aggregate.

The Copper Queens needed a very late Barbra Banda free kick goal to get the all important third goal to seal Zambia’s place in the next round, Mupopo scored Zambia’s second in the 61st minute and was glad her team got the job done.

“This game was tough but it was good. It’s a good feeling, it’s all about helping the team and doing the best putting in a lot of effort.”
