Ghana born American cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe believes a collective effort powered the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.

Boye-Doe featured in the Chiefs run to Super Bowl LVIII win via a 25-22 victory over San Francisco 49ers at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and debunked the notion that the Chiefs defense should get more credit for the win over San Francisco.

Speaking on his rookie season in the NFL that ended in becoming a world champion on his arrival to Ghana for his off-season break, the 24 year old commended both units despite the receiving corps leading the league in dropped passes.

“It turned out to be that way- coming to Ghana on Ghana’s Independence Day) I am just blessed and I’m happy to be back here. I think both offense and defense played a big role in the playoffs and I wouldn’t say one team deserves more credit than the other.”
