Accra 2023: Black Stars Assistant Coaches visit Black Satellites ahead of African Games semis clash

Dauda-Paintsil

Newly appointed Black Stars assistant coach John Paintsil and goalkeeper trainer Fatau Dauda have visited Ghana’s National Men’s Under 20 Team-Black Satellites-in camp as the Satellites prepare to face Senegal in the 13th African Games semifinals.

The big game kicks off on Tuesday, March 19 at the Accra Sports Stadium with Senegal set to take on the host nation that registered two wins and a draw in the group stage.

The training session was led by Black Satellites head coach Desmond Ofei with former Black Stars players Dauda and Painstil looking on. In his post game interview after Ghana’s 1-0 win over Benin, Ofei criticized the state of the pitch at the University of Ghana Stadium. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Paintsil and Dauda represented Ghana at the FIFA World Cup and were recently named to Black Stars head coach Otto Addo’s technical team.

Addo was appointed as Black Stars head coach to replace Chris Hughton as the lead technical man for Ghana’s National Men’s Team following the disastrous 2023 AFCON campaign that had Ghana fail to progress from the group stage.
