He also noted that the Games provided an excellent platform for fostering national unity, a goal that was successfully achieved.

We were aiming at also promoting, peace, unity among Ghanaians, particularly in an election year like this.

We need us to diversify, we need us to shift attention from NPP, NDC, politics everywhere all the time, to bring Ghanaians together to harmony.

You know, let’s unite as one body, come together, let’s promote peace in our country.

So that was one of the, our expectations.

And then we said, okay, Ghanaians have been starved for a very long time. Let’s give them something good.

And let’s ensure that we can have something to celebrate during the games.

And also to also make Ghanaians aware that all is not lost.

Make Ghanaians aware that if we work together as one body, if we work as expected, we can bring back the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s, when our athletes and footballers were excellent at international competitions.

Hosting the competition provided a significant uplift for Ghana, as the nation achieved its highest medal tally since the Games began in 1965.

Finishing sixth on the medal table at the 13th African Games, Ghana secured a total of 69 medals, including 19 gold, 30 silver, and 20 bronze.
