Argentina fans are still reveling in the country’s title winning run in the 2022 FIFA World Cup that had the South American nation win the World Cup for the third time.

Argentina secured the title with a penalty shootout win over France after the enthralling final game ended 3-3 at the end of extra time with Kylian Mbappe scoring a hat-trick.

However, France had the chance to finish off the job deep in extra time when Paris Saint-Germain striker (then with Frankfurt) was played through on goal but his rasping goal bound shot was saved by Argentina keeper Martinez.

The Aston Villa goal keeper stuck his left foot out to block the shot that looked certain to be the winning goal had it gone in.

Recognizing the significance of the save, fans in an Argentine town, Rio Tercero, recreated the important moment that kept forced the game into a penalty shootout.
