Hosting African Games is one of the best things to happen to Ghana- Ernest Danso

Chef De Mission of the 13th African Games, Ernest Danso, has tagged the 2023 edition of the competition as one of the best things to happen to Ghana.

He said this in an exclusive interview on CITI TV’s Football Made in Ghana in the presence of Psychologist Seth Asafo who worked closely with Team Ghana athletes during the competition.

The 2023 African Games was held in Ghana from March 8 to March 23 with Ghana as the host nation for the first time in its history and it coincided with the West African nation winning its’ most medals (69) in the multi-sport event.

“For me, I think what it brought to this country is something we can’t quantify so for me, it’s one of the best things that has happened to Ghana” and added that “Ghana can host more international events” due to the availability of top facilities constructed or renovated for the African Games.

Egypt will host the next edition of the African Games in 2027.
