All Regional Games to tap into African Games euphoria – Asamoah Gyan

Former Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan who now serves as Ambassador for the All Regional Games has explained that tapping into the momentum of the recently ended African Games to engage sports enthusiasts across Ghana is a key strategy to promoting the upcoming competition.

The highly anticipated event will showcase athletes competing across nine diverse sports disciplines, namely: Football, Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Boxing, E-sports, and Arm-wrestling.

At the official unveiling Asamoah Gyan shed some light on the thought process of the planning team.

“It’s my idea , how to implement it is was the  problem. We’ve been going back and forth for the past 7 month to make sure we get this done.  At the end of the day this is the time that we decided to bring everything on board to continue the excitement from the all African game.”

“We watched the all African games , the excitement was great and we decided to implement this one to make sure we continue the excitement.”

A regional tour to raise awareness of the upcoming Games is set to begin on April 16 in an effort to generate excitement and support.
