Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s Leicester City Football Club have gained promotion to the English Premier League.

The Foxes return to the Premier League in its first attempt after getting relegated at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season.

Leicester City’s promotion to the elite division was confirmed in the lead up to the team’s Monday, April 29 fixture against Preston North End in the Sky Bet English Championship.

Queens Park Rangers beat Leicester’s closest rival for one of two automatic qualification spots to the Premier League, Leeds United 4-0.

The Leeds loss means that Leicester’s four point lead atop the standings with two games remaining will be enough to keep Enzo Maresca’s team in one of the two automatic qualification spots to the Premier League.

Issahaku’s future at the club is up in the air considering the 20 year old is on a year long loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.

In his time at Leicester with two games to play, Issahaku has 12 assists and six goals in 39 league games and bagged a hat-trick in Leicester’s 5-0 demolition of Southampton.
