The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations top goal scorer, Emiliano Nsue, is set to come out of international football retirement and feature for Equatorial Guinea.

This comes in the lead up to 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June with Equatorial Guinea scheduled to play against Tunisia on June 5 and Malawi on June 10.

This is a sharp turn on his decision to retire from competing for Equatorial Guinea in international football after a major fallout with the country’s Federation.

After launching a series of vicious attacks on his country’s federation over poor treatment of players during the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire, Nsue got suspended indefinitely. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
