Feels good to score on return from injury- Joseph Paintsil [VIDEO]

Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil marked his return to action from injury with a goal for Los Angeles Galaxy in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Galaxy beat Kansas Sporting 4-2 with Paintsil scoring the team’s third goal in the 75th minute after checking into the game as a substitute in the 65th minute.

In the lead up to the game, chances were high that Paintsil will play some minutes for the first time since picking up a hamstring injury three weeks ago according to Galaxy head coach Greg Vanney.

Speaking to Galaxy media after getting the goal and win on his return, the Black Stars players was delighted to get both stating,

“I feel good. It always feels good to come back and score. It’s always good to come back and score especially in your home field. I really thank the supporters for welcoming me. It’s really an amazing moment.”


Paintsil has made a fine start to life in the MLS since joining from Belgian side KRC Genk earlier this year. He has five goals and four assists in 14 MLS games this season.
