GPL: Hearts of Oak’s Salifu Ibrahim, Glid Otanga join teams in Kosovo and Qatar

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club’s roster for the upcoming season continues to take shape with a handful of players departing at a time the Phobia Club continues to make new signing announcements.

In the wake of signing goalkeeper Benjamin Asare from Accra Great Olympics and Michael Awuah recently, the club has also lost midfielders Salifu Ibrahim and Glid Otanga. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Salifu Ibrahim has joined Drita after excelling for Hearts in the 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League that ended in Hearts winning the title.

His brilliant performances led him to win the League’s Best Player Award and produced two goals and 10 assists in 32 league appearances in the past season.

23 year old Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga has officially signed for Qatar side Al Kharaitiyat SC after a two year run with the Phobia Club.

Otanga joined Hearts from Cameroon side Coton Sport and made 53 appearances and registered two assists in the process.

Hearts take on newly promoted side Basake Holy Stars to open the 2024-2025 season in the period between September 6 and September 9.
