AFC Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola, has pointed out areas that Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo needs to work on to improve his overall output.
Iraola made this observation while speaking in a post-game interview with the BBC after Bournemouth beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford.
Semenyo scored Bournemouth’s third goal in the 63rd minute with Burkina Faso international Dango Ouattara getting the assist.
This marks the second season in a row that Bournemouth have beaten Man United 3-0 at Old Trafford and Iraola believes that there is still more room for improvement for Semenyo.
“When you are a full-back, you try to guess what the opposition is going to do and cover his strong foot. I think he has to mix everything a bit. I try to encourage him to change during the game so they can’t cover him.”
The goal is Semenyo’s fifth of the season in 16 English Premier League games; AFC Bournemouth take on Crystal Palace on Boxing Day at 15:00 GMT. Scroll down to watch Antoine Semenyo’s goal against Man United.
